Lingerie
Lingerie in the strictest sense of the word means 'women's underwear'. But for
our purposes we will include intimate apparel such as nightgowns, pajamas, robes,
anything you do not wear in public. (And like the Bustier, some you do wear in
public.)
Make sure you have the right bra size. At least half of us don't wear the
right size. Have the bra fit comfortable around your back, not too tight or loose,
and put your breasts into the cups fully, unless the bra is designed otherwise.
For corsets, bustiers, girdles, pantie girdles and waist cinchers, make sure
that you can breath in them. Have someone help you put on the corset, if possible.
Wash your delicate undies in a mesh bag in the washing machine, with
special gentle soap. Regular detergents are too harsh. Don't dry in the dryer,
but hang to dry. Dryer heat is death on elastic and fine material.
Alternate your bras so you don't wear the same one every day. The bra
needs time to return to it's original shape between wearings.
Take care of your lovely lingerie, and it should last a long time.
